Another book release day is over and done. This one found me - TopicsExpress

Another book release day is over and done. This one found me all day long in my sweats. Not a stitch of make-up. Finger nails in dire need of the removal of peeling polish from Christmastime. A lingering cough and slight fever from a week-long bout of bronchitis. Leftover pulled pork served to my family for dinner...for the second night in a row. Ordinary. Blessed ordinary. But in the midst of the mundane were texts from real-life friends and well-wishers and prayer warriors and cheerleaders who keep me going. A dear friend who interrupted her lunch date rubbing shoulders with important people after being on national TV in New York City to call and rub some sweet encouragement into my soul (love you Lysa TerKeurst!) Another who takes time to give a shout out to her oodles of fans and texts me such timely atta girls that help to overshadow my doubt (yes you, Candace Cameron Bure) An AMAZING launch team headed up by Miss Sheila Mangum who together sent me DOZENS of personal notes via email today with how the book had already impacted them. Oh my. Were my eyes ever leaking!!! Blogger friends ( who are in real life friends too like Women Living Well & Courtney DeFeo - Lil Light O Mine & The Better Mom & Time-Warp Wife & Renee Swope & Glynnis Whitwer and.....oh there are too many to list!!!) who get even more excited than I am over this project. But best of all? A hubby who ran to get me my fav latte from McDonalds while I worked in my home office today. Numerous texts from my now-grown daughter who knows just how to make her mama feel loved. A tweet from one son and a Facebook status from another, both telling their friends how proud they were of their mom and her new book. (with my other books they couldnt have even told you the topic!) And now...Now, I end the day where I started. Alone. With my Bible. And my God. The one who makes all the hours of writing and rewriting and rewriting again SO WORTH IT if even one person picks up this book and draws closer to Jesus from reading its pages. Thank you Lord. Not for the friends. Not for the family. Not for the Amazon ranking or media interviews booked. Not for pulled pork in a land of plenty or meds that help chase off illness. Im grateful for those all.....But thank you MOST OF ALL for how you change lives. Especially mine. Your Word can help our words be as sweet as honey, seasoned with salt and laced with grace. We can become more like Your Son. Our rock and our redeemer. Amen. #keepitshutbook
