Another busy day at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta for Andrew Kelly. His U19 mens eight qualified for the Sunday final at 2pm. He is also in the Senior Mens Lightweight eight at 1:10, but I wonder how they can be in both because the two races are close in start time and there are 5 guys who are in both boats. Overall, the Detroit Boat Club Crew has won 3 Gold Medals already (last year Andrews Gold Medal boat was the first DBCC boat to win at Henley in several years) and the team has 3 (or maybe 4) finals Sunday. The webmaster for the regatta FB and Twitter tweeted me and told me that DBCC is currently in first for the Efficiency Trophy. Instead of a Points Trophy where the larger clubs that enter the most races always win, they calculate total number of events entered, and percentage that make finals and where they place in the finals for the top club.
