Another call came in yesterday from Windows support telling me that my machine is full of errors and needed to be dealt with. I followed along to a point to see where he was going and how he was doing it. He had me start the run box and type in eventvwr and tried to convince me I had 4800 errors as listed in my event viewer. (which there were, but not to worry, we all have many errors that dont really affect us). When I didnt want to give him access to my system or pay for his services he cursed me numerous times and hung up . While most of the people reading this are savvy enough not to fall for a call like that, please pass this information along to relatives and friends to let them know what kind of scams are out there. Just tell them to hang up if they get such a call, and if they are not sure they are welcome to call me directly and I will explain to them what they need to know. Enjoy the football weekend.
