Another comment on true beauty... The letter Lupita reads is not religious in nature - but of course - it reminds us of a deep truth which we know as sisters in Christ. Created in the image of God who made us, we are all precious, beautiful and beloved by our Father in Heaven... While the deepest and only lasting beauty is the love of Christ which shines out of our hearts to light up the world around us, we should also remember that God took time in forming our bodies as well as our souls, Each of us is a unique reflection of His creative genius - and He LOVES what he has created! When we find ourselves focusing on what we think or have been told are our physical flaws, we should ask God to help us see as He sees - so that we can love as He loves - even ourselves. When we learn to love ourselves as God loves us, we are better able to love others as God loves them...to affirm their true beauty - inside and out - and to bring them His hope and healing!
