Another day of my BS antics. Well maybe its not antics and just BS ramblings. So T minus 24 hours before I head to NYC. (What does the T stand for in T minus) During my week off of work I scheduled projects that were completely out of the norm to me. Ive been following Darren Boucher who is a skilled model photographer but also an insanely talented pet/dog photographer. As I watch my news feed go by with thousands of photos, Darrens work often stands out. Owning two dogs myself, my fur babies are my life. This week I took on a special assignment with someone Ive never met before. She wanted me to do a photo shoot with her dog. Lets give pet photography a try I thought. First photo I gave my client her comment was:.... it looks like Im picking my dogs nose. Another photo: Whats that coming out of my nose. It appears Im still hung up on all things technical without looking at the actually subject matter. Pet photography is much harder than I thought. Darrens experience is worth the money. In the end, my client was happy. The two photos Ive selected below is typical me. The first photo is what models typically want: telephoto compression with some lovely bokeh. The street photographer in me screams 3d distortion in the second image. Oh the inner turmoil I go through when processing photos. lol. This is so much fun. Thanks for reading my ramblings on my photographic journey.
