Another day to be ashamed of being English. As our legal system splits up another family sending a young woman back to Mauritius while he mother and siblings remain in the uk. Fleeing here from domestic abuse, what will be her thoughts as the plane lands, and where will she go. And all the Home Secretary can say is as a politician she shouldnt intervene in the law. Our politicians are voted into office to represent our feelings or be a check and balance in our society. Theresa May has failed in that respect hiding behind the legal process. I understand the fear of setting a precedent. But it is fair and reasonable to occasionally stand up for an individual and do the right thing. Listen to her fellow students, the very small upside of this heartbreaking situation is that year group will never vote conservative.
