Another fire storm erupted today in Northeastern, Nevadas - TopicsExpress

Another fire storm erupted today in Northeastern, Nevadas Antelope Valley, wild horse herd management area, at around 1 oclock this afternoon, I looked out my back porch door and to my horror, I saw huge billowy plumes of smoke over the nearby mountain. The fire started on private land and quickly spread on to public lands in an area called Sampson Creek, it seemed a little to close to the ranch, by mid afternoon, the whole valley was covered in thick black smoke this was scary, its the second large fire here in within the last month. I called the BLM and they were right on it, with a full suppression team, air tankers, helicopters and ground crew. Once again my first thought were the animals, I had to go check on my wild horses in this area, I wasnt very far down the road, when much to my delight there were the wild herds again heading to the ranch. I think they have this fire pretty much under control, but we will see tomorrow. I am seriously starting to worry about this wild horse HMA so much of their habitat has been burned in the last month! But I will continue to monitor them . I will also post more photos tomorrow of the horses escaping the the fire this was one group today.
