Another fruitful chat with my Felaine Andrea on the way home regarding faith and religion. Andrea: Why do some people elevate themselves into the only righteous believers when they talk about God? They make other people appear like the worst of sinners. Me: You should be like sponge. A sponge takes in all moisture that is being dropped unto it. But for it to be useful, it must contain the right amount of liquid. So, while you must be open to ideas and opinions about faith and God, you must also be willing to discard those which you think do not make you grow spiritually. Be willing to soak in the Word, but also be vigilant of the little extra that needs to be discarded because if you dont youll end up confused.
