Another good day for Sue. Visited again by Ruth-Ann, Mandy, - TopicsExpress

Another good day for Sue. Visited again by Ruth-Ann, Mandy, Darryl and myself and we sat outside for about 20 minutes in the garden area, which was very nice. Sue needed to warm up as the air con in her room was very cold. A bad smell, when the breeze changed, sent us back inside - we think it was possibly a dead bird or maybe some other animal in the bushes. The lizard who lives there is OK though as it was spotted later on. Sue was eating well again today and doing her leg and foot exercises diligently. A game of Sequence this morning, which Mandy and Darryl won against Sue and I. Another game of Scrabble this afternoon - won again by Darryl. Sue may be moved to a ward bed during the night if the ventilator is needed. A bed was allocated for Sue this morning, in the haematology ward, but someone came into the ED and was given the bed, so Sue stayed in ICU. Trachy wound almost healed. Sue anxious to get around on her own, but knows it will take a little bit of time. I am off to work tomorrow, thanks to my great boss allowing me to work out of Newcastle office this week, to be here with Sue. Not bad for only being with the Company for 6 months. Very supportive, and as I only work 6 hour days will be there for afternoon visiting hours. Sue enjoyed her visit from sister Mandy and is looking forward to seeing her friends Mandy and Michelle tomorrow. We have had some good laughs and fun and lots of talking and Sues haematology results are good so all looking very positive for a fun Christmas with the family. Michelle and Garry also enjoying their break away. Poor Bonnie was a bit frightened by the storm this evening, so we have her inside on a towel in the kitchen. Onward and upward Sue, you are a real gutsy girl!!
