They service clients in large corporations, financial institutions, many small to medium sized businesses and all levels of government. TM8 tm8.ca is helping them locate and secure a top performing Business Development Representative to help grow revenues and clients in their interior building construction technology product line. The basic function of the Business Development Representative position is to strategically identify, prospect, and grow commercial business, with an emphasis placed on the interior building construction product line. Through relationship-based selling this position will identify and build strategic relationships to uncover business opportunities, analyze customer needs, identify and work with the team to customize product and service solutions to win projects and accounts. The primary role of this position is to build a revenue-generating sales pipeline which will primarily consist of leads and new project opportunities from prospective accounts while working within a team environment and partnering with project management team and supplier representatives to uncover new projects that will also lead to major furniture opportunities to maintain and grow business. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Displays a focused and consistently enthusiastic approach to developing contacts, meeting potential new prospects and networking with customers and acquaintances focused on business development. 2. Responds in a timely, complete, and professional manner to all inquiries and communications between the customers, prospects, and the company 3. Fosters relationships within the a&d (architectural & design) community influencing them to promote products and services, and provide referrals with the ultimate goal to identify projects and development of opportunities in the Greater Vancouver region. 4. Generates leads and opportunities through professional contacts, dedicated prospecting and cold-calling and drives brand awareness campaigns and lead generation via networking and local associations. 5. Builds strategic opportunities that can generate leads. Continually maintains knowledge of customers’ business issues, market dynamics, company vision, the competition, sales strategy, as well as products and services. 6. Assists in planning and coordinating trade shows and events. Will represent company at trade shows and events as needed. 7. Identifies and fosters potential relationships with project facilitators, project managers, and key people that have high levels of influence or decision making authority influencing them to purchase products and services in: Health-care, Government/Education, Corporate. 8. Creates and continually updates/maintains a structured business development plan Required Skills & Experience – Business Development Representative – interior building construction technology -Vancouver Degree/Diploma in business or marketing, or BA and at least 5 years of recent business development experience selling B2B experience in the commercial interior, commercial real estate and/or construction industry. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: General interior design knowledge and knowledge of the A&D, real estate and Contractor community. Other: Superior professional presence and business acumen. Outstanding sales and business development track record. Compensation: The suitable candidate can be expected to earn a salary above $50K while product and industry training are taking place. The salary gives way to a “draw against commission” after 6 months. There is no earning ceiling; candidates should not consider this position without anticipating generating business above $2.5 million. Earnings well into the six figures.
