Another great weekend in the form of an event hosted by our good friends Rob and Anne from Ghost Shack and Eastern States Paranormal (ESP). Experiments. And when you conduct experiments, you need a great lab. Our lab for the night - Maitland Gaol NSW, a formidable structure that has seen 16 men hanged, riots, escapes and housed for a time Australias most notorious serial killer, Ivan Milat. I was invited by ESP, along with Attila and Andrea Kaldy of Validate, Beth Luscome of Access Paranormal and Mark Ferguson and Megan Lloyd of D.V. Paranormal to conduct a wide range of paranormal based experiments for peeps who are fascinated in all things haunted and ghostly. Rob and Anne conducted experiments on table tipping, Ouija, sound, Ouija and séances. Attila gave those who dared the chance to experience sensory deprivation with the Ganzfeld and Infrasound experiments. Beth Im sure was delighting in disturbing peeps with the Demonic Era Cue experiment. ( I reckon that one would have freaked me out!) Mark and Megan took brave volunteers and shoved them into cells by themselves for an experiment in Isolation and also conducted a mini investigation. I, according to Anne of Esp, am ..the man who swears a lot..., convinced participants to yell and scream the most depraved things with a exercise in Provocation and also challenged minds with the possibility of creating a ghost in a condensed Phillip experiment. I wont say too much, because Alex from Ghosts of Oz podcast was there to record and capture a lot of these freaky goings on, and youll be able to listen to it and all the stories from everyone who was involved and participated sometime this week. Also a huge shout out to other teams and representatives who contributed with photography and helping out. Cheers to Kat and Sarah of WSPR and everyone else who helped carry my gear all over the place ( hey, they offered ), and Peet Banks of APPI, Lyn Cowan of The Unexplained Paranormal Incident Team for letting me steal some of their photos and The Ghost Writer Oz, Jacqueline Anderton, who, when it comes to provocation, scares even me! ( you are awesome!) It was great catching up with other teams, meeting and making new friends. To the chef ( and creator of the founder of Ghost Shack ) Sally- om nom nom nom ( yeah, cant use one word ) Food was so good. And once again, another Big Up Yourself for ESPs Rob and Anne. Such an great night!
