Another huge successful coach trip to Ben Nevis, 2nd time this year and our 4th as a charity... I love facebook for this reason, being able to share experiences/photos with others and pay tribute and thanks where needed.. After 10 hours on coach through the night and that much preparation, our team of 40 foot soldiers set off together at 10:45am (photos to come) As the sign on the coach states we enter as strangers and leave as friends couldnt be more true... 5 of our crew attempted it and couldnt make the summit to due to injury and illness...but gave it everything they had and i mean they gave it everything... the team work involved was essential and paid off massively toward the end of the NIGHT!! Our last two got off the mountain at 23:15..John Langford and Bridget Adams ... After stayin with members of our group that were struggling i didnt get to the summit till 5pm my self along with Bridget, John and Kate Adams (Bridgets daughter) so we were last of our group coming down.. we lost light at 19.30 and we were hour in front of Bridget and John, and just in front of 3 other members who ALSO got caught in the dark...(very challenging uncomfortable exp) Thank you to the rest of our team who helped at the bottom and Simon Edge for going BACK up to help Bridget and John...i could write all day but i will keep this short... Very proud of a special group of people that have raised on paper over £5000 to help Brandon and Bradley have LIFE CHANGING Wheel chairs, we went through pain to ease there pain... and wed do it again and we WILL do it again... Kate Lou Bowden - Superb effort and great supporter for all of.. Matt Bowden - What a husband wouldnt leave his wifes side till she orderd him to carry on Gavin Bonser - Great bloke kept everyone happy with his humor and back side showing on the coach Ozzie Ozziie Junior and Beth - coming back April thats how much they enjoyed it Khalid Smethwick-end Begg superb effort mate well done winning stand up bingo and gave his £ winnings back to the charity David Maycroft think Gary and Sam would of struggled without u mate great talisman Sam Hines AWESOME effort!!! Gary Maycroft again mate you and David helped Sam get that far ... Gary White Kitchens Bathrooms Gary i still owe you for that FAKE JD and Coke ;-) Kate Harrison the white wine nutter..great girl Emma Clarke our clacky love ya!! Joe Mitchell what a team you and Andy made mate...never forget u in he Volunteer arms ;-) Andy Deakin pretty boy is a legend never forget ur dancing in the Arms early hours!! Kieron and Dan arent on here but again think everyone knew what they bought to the group... Steve Grove thank you so much for all your help couldnt run the trip without you Marie Hayden you got your deserved award that says it all reading your status u have some great friends lets get them on the April trip!! Natalie Whitehouse and Heidi Marie Whitehouse great team work girls i will never forget seeing your face Nat next to that policewomen in the dark haha Big thanks you to a great Coach driver Paul Bishop very very supportive in everyway and big thank you to Prospect coaches and Nathan Hadley for doing us a great deal on the coach as always
