Another lesson in the future of Architecture.....Some will say it had more money spent on it, its size, etc...however its obvious that the ROUND and sloping design was better equipped aerodynamically similar to that of a geodesic design. The dome in New Orleans was also a great design for its help against Katrina. Not only does the aerodynamic design help against Wind power, but also water and possible mud and lava slides. My experience so far in this career is that future sustainable design is not only capable of preventing future extreme climate change, but could also SUSTAIN us while we live through the extremes of climate change. In other words, designing to sustain us from natural disasters as well. As crazy as this might sound, Sustainability is also important to figure out how to live beyond Earth on other Worlds one day.
