Another little gear shout-out today. Enter Fretwraps! These little gems strap neatly onto the neck and cut all those unwanted overtones dead in their tracks without harming your instrument or having to bring your instruments into the shop to do a hardware modification. Simply place them right behind the fret you are working with and blaze away cleanly. For live work – I leave these puppies placed right behind the “zero fret” (Buzz Feiten tuning system) of my MTD Kingston Basses and it makes one hell of a difference in getting thing across to the amp cleanly.
