Windy and cold tonight with showers, these heavy and thundery at times especially towards the north coast and the Northern & Western Isles, falling as snow over 200m with several cm by morning being blown about in the wind. fewer showers towards eastern coasts with clear spells. A risk of ice for all parts with lows of around freezing. Friday will be windy with sunny spells and showers of rain, hail, sleet or snow. Snow mainly above 200m where there will be slight accumulations, some of the showers will be thundery across the north coast and the Northern & Western Isles.
