Another month, another mediocre or even disappointing jobs report. - TopicsExpress

Another month, another mediocre or even disappointing jobs report. About 192,000 jobs were created (barely enough to keep up with normal population growth), but analysts were expecting 206,000. The chronically high unemployment rate of 6.7% remained unchanged. And the broader U-6 rate (which measures underemployed people as well) actually ticked up from 12.6% to 12.7%. As I say every first Friday of the month, we arent going to break the slump until we change our policies: lower individual and business tax rates, fewer job-killing regulations, less government borrowing and spending that crowds out private sector saving and investing, and less government meddling in our economic affairs. We know what to do. We know that it works because we did all these things during the 1980s.
