Christmas Eve is nearing The tree all lit up bright All the children in their beds Tucked up nicely for the night There are lots of lovely presents All tucked beneath the tree I know that there are some for you And maybe some for me Also some there for the children But they’ll have to wait and see Luke wanted roller blades, and Mick a big new bike Cause when he does his paper round It’ll save him quiet a hike Karl wants to train his brain With something for the rain Mum wants some new boots Wants a matching scarf and hat Daddy needs wellies to dig his veggie patch Grandma wants some sherry, granddad some new gloves Not fussy about the colour, but black he really loves.
