Another of my favorite secular Christmas songs. The ironic thing is that although this was released in 1994, I dont have a single memory of hearing it until 2005. That year, Janet and I flew to Beijing on Boxing Day (December 26), though we didnt actually arrive until December 28, due to the distance and date line. Angela McKeen Cooper had just finished five very profitable months of teaching English in Tong Chen and asked us to visit her and see China before she flew home so thats what we did. It was an amazing trip, the experience of a lifetime, albeit punctuated, seemingly non-stop at times, with Mariah Carey, which I didnt mind, though it seemed a bit incongruous for the setting.
