Another one for the memory books.....The legend of the tumor buck has come to an end! We have had this 10 pt. on camera for the last 3 years at our lease! The first two years he had a large tumor growing in his brisket, a possible infected ill-placed mesquite thorn, hence the name the tumor buck!! I passed him up opening weekend, but decided if I saw him again, he wouldnt get another hall pass! Saturday evening, along with my 1st-time hunting buddy (Ms. 3-yr old Carsyn Louise!), the tumor buck took a much-needed dirt nap! As it turns out, we think he was somewhere in the ballpark of 6.5 - 7.5 years old! On his way down for sure! What a fun evening enjoying Gods beautiful outdoors with one of His most beautiful creations, my sweet daughter, Carsyn! Fun memories being made at the Kattner household these days!
