Another one of those despicable fads :\ . But this one is actually useful and also my kinda thing, so here goes :) . Abhirath Batra nominated me to list down 10 books that had a substantial impact on my life. Heres the list in no particular order. This is by no means complete because every book you read leaves you changed in some way or the other. These are just those that I remember at the moment. 1. Harry Potter Series – The books that brought me close to the best friends I ever had. 2. Pride And Prejudice by Jane Austen – The first classic I read and loved. A fairytale that I desperately want to live. 3. Agatha Cristie Mysteries – The best travel companions ever. Five Little Pigs and The Murder on the Orient Express deserve special mention. 4. All Nancy Drew Books – The first ever series I read. My love affair with books started with them. 5. Angels And Demons by Dan Brown – My vote for the most thrilling of thrillers. And the sheer amount of details spun together into one story that made for one of the best reads of my life. 6. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte – The one that taught me the destructive power of hate and the extent that revenge can go to. 7. Kane And Abel (The Prodigal Daughter too) – Story of lives worth living. Inspirational yet real. 8. Gone With the Wind –A few important lessons learnt there. Life is a fragile illusion. What is today may not be tomorrow so cherish it while you can. And most importantly, how to not screw up your life yourself. 9. Blink by Malcolm Gladwell – The power of thinking without thinking. ←That line :) 10. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green & Love Story by Eric Segal – The most poignant and heart-rending of romantic tales I have read. I nominate Vatika Harlalka, Swati Dewan, Pranjali Chauhan, Sanjana Khot, and Sanjana Sharma to post their lists too. :)
