Another protest scheduled out of Moncton NB the MMA communiuty also having problems. long but good read Cage Rage MMA Ok This protest tomorrow at City Hall is real important to the fighters and fans and the future . On CBC The chairman of the Moncton Boxing Commission said that replacing the commission is not the answer cause the bylaw has to be followed anyway. Is Gerry nuts? lol This is why we are protesting cause the commission is not following the bylaws . He then said they only had one minor problem with a medical not being received . I now know of at least 22 full medicals not received by the commission and 4 not at all . I think the city should seize the medicals and call me so I can walk them through the medicals . The Moncton Commission is responsible for making sure all medicals are in or they should conceal the fight . Now the Chairman Gerry Thomas is saying he wants to shut me down and he is using the reason I did not pay the 5% to them for 9 show in the past . Ok he crossed the line here. In 2009 we sued the commission and they settled out of court with us. The deal was they would let us introduce Amateur MMA to Atlantic Canada. And they did not want anything to do with it . Can I prove this ??? Hell ya here is a letter I got in 2010 from the ex Chairman of the Commission. Mr. John Williams, As per your request in regard to the meeting held in November 2009 at the Robert Charmin Law Offices located on High field Street, Moncton New-Brunswick. Present at the meeting were yourself John Williams along with Steven Williams and all members of the Moncton Boxing & Wrestling Commission. On the Agenda of the meeting was Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Fights to be held in the City of Moncton in the future. You Mr. Williams were advised that Amateur Mixed Martial Arts would not come under the mandate of the Moncton Boxing & Wresting Commission and as far as the Commission is concerned, provided you pay the $100 sanction fee to the commission, you can do as you wish with Amateur Mixed Martial Arts. A document was drafted accordingly reflecting the decision of the Commission regarding Amateur Mixed Martial Arts and signed by all Commission members, Jerry Doiron-Gould – Chairman, George Cunningham – Commissioner, Gerald Thomas – Commissioner and Graham Walker – Secretary. The minutes of the meeting were taken in long hand by Mr. Graham Walker- Secretary and tape recorded by myself on behalf of the Moncton Boxing & Wrestling Commission and a copy of the tape recorded minutes are in my possession along with the signed copy of the agreement signed by all Commissioners. So here Gerry Thomas is lying again. Gerry Thomas is a Major problem in this sport and he needs to step down ASAP . But there is 2 other member that have to step down as well . Graham Walker called my business partner after the last show and wanted a private meeting with him. He told my partner that if he would like to continue promoting in Moncton that he would recommend not having anything to do with me. I was pissed and send Graham a message . Graham emailed me back(I have it saved) and said I was just testing him out to see if he could trust him... ??? Tell me this is right?? Anyway . We need your help . And I am sure the boxing promoters can add to this all night long cause I here they have it bad as well. Here is a few questions for you - 1- Do you want a commission that is treating every promoter the same? 2- Do you want a commission that is treating every fighter the same ? 3-Do you think the fighters should all have the same medicals ? 4-Do you think it is fair that the commission is making more money then the promoters? 5-Do you not think in MMA the commission should have a little experience in MMA? 6- Do you think it is time for the right people to run this commission ? I do want to add to be fair there is one commission member that never did us wrong and I have nother bad to say about him and that is Ray Doiron . I think Ray just got caught up with something that he did not know what was going on since 2009 . Anyway I hope to see you at the Protest tomorrow at city hall. Thanks
