Another quick update on E, as I am exhausted after a long afternoon of shopping with MJ Wheeler-Ali, Omar Ali and Caelib!!! Thanks for the much needed outing guys!! Epic E had two new drains added today, one drained 170mls and the other drained 50mls upon insertion and are still draining. Poor belly!!! She also had a new picc line inserted which was a bit more difficult than usual because of her previous one, but they were able to use the same arm. She has been sleeping pretty much since the procedures, as she hardly slept last night and she had a big day!! She is still npo because there doesnt seem to be anyone around to answer questions. There was an emergency trauma that came in so the general surgery team is busy with that. The residents arent able to make that call on their own. Hopefully (for both of us) well find out soon!!! Ive included a photo of her in recovery following the procedures (some people call them surgeries, but I have a hard time calling them that after the other things shes had done!!) She is still pretty spaced out in the photo as they had just given her a second dose of hydromorphone on top of the ketamine concoction she had for sedation. She had had Tylenol once since then! I am off to lay down though in case she is up in the night like last night!!! As of right now we arent sure if the fluid was infected because it wasnt as obvious as they suspected. We need to wait about 48 hours now for results!! Heres hoping tomorrow is a better day, maybe even with a few smiles!!! Thank you so much to each and every one of you for your continued support!!!
