Another road fatality recorded. Road fatality at Barre d’Isle Officers attached to the Richfond Police Station are investigating a road fatality which occurred in the Barre d’Isle on Sunday, September 15, 2013 about 8:25p.m. Information indicates that 38 year old Junior Hinds of Pavee, Castries was driving Nissan pickup registration number PK 3798 along the Barre d’Isle road in the direction of Castries, when he lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road. At the time of the accident, there were two individuals seated in the tray of the vehicle namely; Kern Jn Baptiste of Vieux Fort and David Anthony also known as Stone of Choiseul. Both men sustained serious injuries and were transported to Victoria Hospital via ambulance where David Anthony was pronounced dead. Kern Jn Baptiste was treated and admitted at the said hospital. The driver of the vehicle who is assisting police with their investigations escaped unhurt. A post mortem examination is scheduled for a later date.
