Another salute to one of my friends (now flying Coast Guard in Mobile)... My friend Alan Wests video of the Army helicopter he was piloting in Baghdad (taking a soldier to the clinic for pinkeye) when a VBIED exploded. He landed his bird, coming in over the black vehicle, to pick up any casualties. The second VBIED exploded from the trunk of the black vehicle. Naturally he got out of Dodge ASAP. This was all captured by a military blimps camera overhead.
