Another scientific theme I planned to discuss with Carel is the math of the notorious double slit experiment. This video gives some elementary introduction that explains the experiment and how they can measure wavelenghts with double slit lasers. I want to eventually go to the equations that describe double slit when a slit is measured. The equation contains an uncertainty factor, that is cancelled when measuring which slit the quantum passes through. You already see with this introduction-video that it is information that interferes and not the lightwaves itself, since that wouldnt work out, for the photons are not shot through two slits simultaneously. So, when shooting one photon at a time, which they recently managed to do (very tiny slits) there will also be interference (and it turned out to be so of course in the experiment).
