Another senior just dumped like trash! I will never understand how anyone can do this. Pepper is almost 16 years old and this is how he is treated in his golden years :( Please network! A LOT OF SENIOR DOGS ARE BEING SURRENDERED. PEPPER, AT OVER 15 YEARS OLD, IS ONE OF THE LATEST. Pepper was dumped at Carson Shelter (CA). His family left no information about him. Nothing. He has no chip, he isnt neutered, and now hes homeless and in danger. This isnt the way he envisioned the rest of his life...though it sounds like he didnt have a great home to begin with. According to the shelters medical department Pepper is ambulatory. They said he is geriatric and will be adopted on a medical waiver. Peppers coat is rough and full of flea dirt, he has moderate dental tartar, and he has a cauliflower growth below his left eye. The shelter said he is being monitored for appetite, behavior (depression, etc), and worsening condition. This is no way for an old man to live. Pepper should have someone who cares to make sure he is safe, warm, loved, and well fed. Please SHARE to make Peppers dreams come true! You never know who will see your share and want to save Pepper. Liking the post is nice, but SHARING SAVES LIVES. NOTE: Please dont clog the thread with comments about Peppers former owners. We all are upset about his situation but if we have to wade through hundreds of comments to find a foster offer it could hamper our efforts to save Pepper.
