Another share from our inbox: I have only ever met one person with SBS and I knew him when I was very young. I have been following this page in memory of him. I wont give his name but he was shaken at about 14 weeks and developed cerebral palsy. He never walked or talked or was even able to hold his own spoon. Out of all the other children, I was the only who wanted to help. I helped prepare food for him and I helped feed him. I wheeled him around the playground and named as many items as we could see. Rather than play with the other children, I spent all my time working with, playing with, and learning about him and his disabilities and how better to help him. I havent seen that boy in years and because of him, Im in school learning how to help take care of and teach victims of child abuse and children with emotional disorders. And I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for helping bring to light the horrible things that happen so that as a whole we can move towards prevention. What you do is beautiful and amazing and I read and share your articles everyday. Keep it up. The world needs to know. We agree, the world needs to be made aware of these stories. Thank you all for sharing them too!
