Another shitty day in paradise...... Pay no mind to this feeder rotation. Its a crock of S***, as we all have found today. And when their final generator fails from this overloading we are all screwed, in the dark. I especially love the Customers with generators are encouraged to use them. Why the F do you think anyone has them in the 1st place? Wapas incompetence ! Emergency Feeder Rotations Continued on St. Thomas (Monday, August 04, 2014) On Sunday, August 3, the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority began emergency feeder rotations on St. Thomas after generating units #14 and #18, at the Randolph Harley Power Plant, failed to operate. With the loss of the two units, as well as the unavailability of unit #23, which is currently offline for repairs needed for conversion to burn propane, emergency feeder rotations were immediately implemented. After monitoring the feeder loads, as well as the initial Sunday emergency rotations, a rotation schedule was established for Monday, 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. While monitoring the Monday morning rotations to determine the best available resources, an extended schedule, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. was established. As is the Authority’s intention, rotations will be conducted in a manner to ensure service is retained by as many residential and commercial customers as possible. The tentative feeder rotation schedule is subject to change. 12pm-2 pm – 7A, 7C, 9D, 7B 2pm-4pm - 7D, 9C, 8A, RR (Ridge Road) 4pm-6 pm - 10B, 8B, 6A, 9A, 7A After carefully observing the progress of the 12 – 6 p.m. schedule, a determination will be made for additional scheduling. Customers with generators are encouraged to use them during the rotation schedule. The Authority apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these interruptions and will do our best to minimize the inconvenience to customers.
