Another solid day v Auburn to complete the second round. Whilst we were 2 points short of a clean sweep- points in all grades we will happily take. 1s pushed for outright but a placid wicket left it difficult to snare the required 5 wickets. 2s played out a run fest in what must surely be the highest scoring match at Greenway ever. It would have been unfathomable to lose, but a tail wind helped get the biscuits. 3s had the points, then had to play on with a man down and some injuries and the final salt in the wound of a reverse outright- unlucky. 4s made the game look harder than it needed to be bowling out Auburn by the barest of margins. The round was very close to being a terrible one, but perseverance and a will to win got us there. Well done fellas. 1st Grade MPSDCC 200 defeated Auburn 83 (A Khan 5/21 N Jalil 4/27) and 5/163 (D Calic 2/24 A Khan 2/59) 2nd Grade MPSDCC 3d387 defeated Auburn 378 (T Marlin 4/88 L Reeves 3/50 D Scheinflug 2/56) 3rd Grade MPSDCC 223 and 94 (A Langdon 34 D Markna 34) won first innings, lost outright to Auburn 199 (D Markna 3/29 G Sandhu 3/39) and 1/123 4th Grade MPSDCC 243 defeated Auburn 242 (P Ram 2/17 P Barnes 2/26 J Hansen 2/36 A Chapman 2/61)
