Another spiced jam; this one is Cherry Fennel. Not to be confused with Cherry Fennec, which is a different jam entirely, and not a very tasty one. A few points: 1) There are an awful lot of fruit pieces in this jam. Look at all those freakin cherries. Look at em! 2) The last spiced jam I tried was plum tarragon; I commented at the time that it didnt seem particularly different from normal plum jam. Same observation applies here. 3) Although I love cherries, Ive never felt that they make a particularly good jam. Anyway, this is decent enough, as cherry jam goes. But Im skeptical that theres any point to the fennel.
