Another step into unchartered territory. Crowdfunding has been used for a wide variety of things here in KW with a lot success. Startup Community by Taylor Jackson, the Straight Up documentary by local brew heads, games, magnetic pens and comics. But so far, it hasnt yet seen a charitable cause complete a fully funded campaign. We want to be the first. Today we launched a $15,000 Indiegogo campaign to build a volunteer lounge and training area in the brand new Meals on Wheels Dream Kitchen. Since starting in KW, Meals on Wheels volunteers have delivered more than 1.9 million meals. As many are seniors themselves, we want to give them a special place. The project has some cool perks, from ask someone over the age of 100 anything to dinner with my favourite chef, Nick Benninger of Taco Farm and Nick & Nats Uptown 21.
