Another story of solving problems with kindergarten physics. As I - TopicsExpress

Another story of solving problems with kindergarten physics. As I was walking to my dorm last night, I saw a stone lying on the ground. It had been lifted off of a pillar to its right, next to a mulch-covered mound. I was not strong enough to lift it myself, as I could only hold it one inch high. I lamented that I had no help to get it to get it to its shelf, as noone was passing by. A turned to go, as the sun was low, feeling a little bit hurt... When I realized the ideal size of the neighboring pile of dirt. I turned the stone on its carved edge, and up the mulch I rolled it. It went as high as the pillar and ledge, and I needed little strength to hold it. The rock perches there now, cold and still, seemingly just like another. It was lifted to its place not by amazing will, but by an idea, and the patience to bother.
