Another thing that was cool. Ive always flown southwest, this time we flew airtran. Which is owned by SW. I figured out that unlike SW, its 35 for the first bag, 25 for each additional. BUT I found a hack. You check in 24 hours before like usual. If they have room, you can upgrade to first class for 59 dollars, and it INCLUDES two bags checked. Plus, all the free booze and snacks, first on and first off, two seats instead of three in a row, and you can bypass the long security and check in lines. Ive never flown first class before, and even though its not true first class (with a curtain and hot towels and blah blah), the line bypass alone was worth it. And it was a dollar less than if we had just paid for two bags! I hope they have room coming back, Im spoiled now!
