Another tragic death that could have been avoided. The officer who shot 12-years Tamir Rice said he ordered the boy to put his hands up 3-times. After viewing the video, the officer shot Tamir within 2-seconds arriving at the park. The patrol officer who shot Tamir was identified yesterday as Timothy Loehmann, a 26-year-old rookie who began his career in Cleveland on March 3. He previously spent five months in 2012 with a department in the Cleveland suburb of Independence, but four of those months were in that city’s police academy.
