Another update: I will soon begin chemotherapy treatments. After the surgeon removed the tumor a pathologist discovered that is was a high grade, not low grade, osteosarcoma. Fortunately, the surgeon was able to remove the entire tumor but chemotherapy is still a necessary precaution. Under the circumstance its a precaution I am more than willing to take. Though this was not the news we were looking for this week, I consider myself incredibly blessed. Its been five weeks since surgery and I am recovering well. I am able to use a walker more often than a wheelchair and my surgeon thinks I will be able to use a cane soon. I have wonderful family and friends, even some complete strangers, supporting me physically as well as through prayer, encouragement. That support has meant the world to me and enabled me to keep a positive attitude that is absolutely essential. Thank you all for your continued support.
