Another update for folks who are interested: Anne is back in the ER this evening. Her temperature has been up and down and her headache got much worse overnight, so bad that we decided it was time to get her checked again. They did a CAT scan and it looks fine. They still think its viral meningitis but wanted to be sure nothing else is going on. They havent done a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) to confirm meningitis and may still do that but, for now, Anne is resisting it and the doctors dont seem to feel it will tell them anything they dont already know. Shes being hydrated and given pretty good doses of painkillers but shes still dealing with an intense headache. We are blessed that she is in one of the best hospitals in the country and feel confident that shell turn a corner soon. Anne thanks everyone for the outpouring of concern, support, and love. Were both very grateful to know so many people are out there for us.
