Another update on Cate. Shes being admitted to the hospital after these last 6 hours weve spent in the ER and will be placed under the care of a neurologist. Theyve ruled out meningitis. The current thought is that she has an as-yet unidentified infection that is causing swelling or some other type of impact on her brain. Once we get her into a room, the neurologist will decide whether to do an MRI now or put off until later. That decision will impact whether she gets to eat and drink. For now, shes still sleeping so I was able to sneak away for a minute to grab a candy bar and soda and hit the restroom. Please keep praying. We have to figure out whats going on here.
