Another very powerful testimony from WAFBEC 2014 Join us today at WAFBEC 2015 What the Lord has done for us is a result of the inspiration we got from WAFBEC 2014 and the Quantum Leap Series. These two events were the game changers for my family in 2014. My wife and I started 2014 in an unusual way, by not writing our goals until after WAFBEC 2014. We decided to go through the 21 days fasting and attended WAFBEC before putting pen to paper. During the fast, my wife was pregnant but she was personally convinced that she should go through the 21 days fasting. To us, the idea of having the Quantum Leap Series immediately after WAFBEC was divinely orchestrated by God as it provided the boldness, confidence and inspiration to write down the goals for the year and the eventual attainment of all of them. To the Glory of God, all the major goals we put down were achieved by October even though at the beginning of the year we didn’t have the funds required to achieve these goals and they all looked farfetched. Of particular importance is the part 5 of the Quantum Leap Series (which I consider a classic) and those statements that Pastor Poju usually speaks softly when preaching. In that part Pastor Poju made statements like; •‘fire before you aim’ • ‘jump when you are in the air the Lord will catch you’ •‘bite more than you can chew, you will eventually swallow it, it will not swallow you’ • ‘When the opportunity for a quantum leap presents itself it will look like you are not qualified for it.’ These statements came to life as events leading to the achievements of the goals started to unfold. In fact we turned away from the last one which was the purchase of our house because we considered it impossible for the year having done our best and all the permutations did not work. During this period scriptures like Matthew 19:26, 1 Thessalonians 5:24, Phillipians 1:6 and Ephesians 3:20 kept jumping at us and actually kept the light burning. We also keyed into the word of prophecy released by Dr. Bill Winston and Bishop Wale Oke during WAFBEC on people purchasing their house that year. After we had clearly given up on the goal and started looking at alternatives (which by the way were not our desire), we decided to give a seed in anticipation for the next year when we would look at giving it another shot. A close colleague asked about the project and I said “we can’t kill ourselves, we have suspended it” and his response was, “you can’t give up on God, if He has brought you this close He will surely do it.” And that was the turning point. To the glory of God, the house was purchased two weeks after the decision to give a portion of what was not enough as a seed. The truth is that we cannot specifically point to how it happened but everything that stood as obstacles started giving way and help started showing up. Apart from the testimony of the house, the Lord also gave us the following testimonies below: - I got promoted at work - My wife was healed of Fibroids and a severe shoulder pain of over 3 years during WAFBEC. - My wife’s pregnancy was a testimony. She got pregnant the exact month we told God we were ready to start a family. God blessed us with the exact gender we requested for. My wife was not sick for one day during pregnancy. She had an enjoyable pregnancy all through. The delivery was peaceful and recovery was almost immediate. By the second day, she was already on her feet and strong. Our baby’s development has also been a testimony. We are blessed with a healthy and adorable baby according to the scripture God gave to us in Luke 1:13-15. - God provided the funding for our child’s delivery in the United States. We didn’t have the required funds a week before the trip but God proved Himself a few days before my wife travelled. In fact we had more than enough for the delivery, baby shopping and entire trip without any form of borrowing. - On arriving in the US, my wife was given a two weeks Visa after she had declared at the point of entry that she was pregnant. She was initially downcast but I encouraged her and we trusted God. We got an immigration Lawyer to apply for her extension with required documentation from her doctor in the US. To the glory of God, the extension was approved. On our way back from the US, we realized that there were 5 other pregnant women on the flight with us that were denied entry into the US because they were pregnant. This further buttressed our testimony. We knew this could only have been God. We have always had it as part of our confession even before we got married that our children will be given birth to at the right time and places. As I write, we eagerly await WAFBEC 2015 as we know that the Lord has more in store for us. -B.A.
