Another week another Final Fantasy update. As the expedition camp descended into chaos, our heroes heroes fought their way to the stairs down into the ravine and (hopefully) safety only to find it had become a death trap as both fleeing archaeologists and stampeding monsters attempted to escape down it. Darkun, proving he should not be left to his own devices, attempted to stop this mad rush by destroying the stairs. Fortunately he was stopped first by monsters and then by Cid the bard, who appears to have assumed command during the emergency. At Cids request, they pushed deeper into the camp to face the cause of the stampede, an immense scorpion from deep below the mountains. They managed to drive the beast away but not before Darkun revealed a more monstrous form, resulting in a brief confrontation among the group. As things calm down, Edric appeared to discuss events. It seems the nights chaos is the doing of the mysterious woman in an attempt to visit the ruins undisturbed. As they spoke the ancient ruins activated despite the technology within being millennia old. What ever the mysterious woman is up to, it cannot be good. Somebody needs to stop her. As for music, we had a boss fight this week so boss music is required. There were many things wrong with X-2 but this music was not one of them. Boss Battle: Graffias, Cavern Scorpion
