Another weekend, another chance to catch up on 90s uber Spider epic,The Clone Saga. Planet Of The Symbiotes wasnt as bad as rumoured. David Michelinie is too good a writer for it to be completely crap and some of art was pretty good. The back ups were interesting as well featuring a Dan Slott story and the unusual but very effective art team of Darrick Robertson and George Perez on a Stan Lee story. It was much longer than it needed to be and it really didnt fit in the narrative at this point, although I dont were it would have fitted but it wasnt terrible. Thats not a ringing endorsement, I know. Maximum Clonage, sadly, was terrible. A Repetitious, largely pointless exercise in treading water, the ending was especially botched and badly executed with some risible dialogue. Looking forward to the next chapters though.
