Another well attended and constructive branch meeting tonight with very interesting oversight given by South Belfast Alternatives outlining the great work presently being delivered by Alternatives in the area. Grassroots community work like this can so often go unnoticed, big well done to all involved! South Belfast PUP activists have also been working steadily over the festive period. Last month we dealt with: • Twenty two housing issues all addressed plus five from last month also finally resolved with the positive outcomes required. • Seven cases of anti-social behaviour resolved due to working closely with PSNI and local community reps. • Two fly tipping cases, this is an on-going problem in which we have been working with Belfast City Council, looking at a more efficient way to stamp this out. • Four dog fouling issues satisfactorily dealt with. • Actively engaged in community outreach by attending four community meetings.
