Another wintry mess is on the way...this time there could be more available moisture for a better icing...all will depend on how quickly the ground, and especially bridges and overpasses freeze Tuesday. Looking for a sleet/freezing rain event for most with 1/4-1/2 accumulations of ice possible (Fridays event was 1/8-3/8 in Lafayette)...then the risk of snow on the northern fringe of the system...especially along and north of LA 190. With a higher ice potential, we could certainly see more scattered power outages too...and certainly prepare for the possibility of hazardous travel. Total snow/ice accumulations could be in the 2 range...Prime-time for precip should be from mid-morning-midday Tuesday through at least midnight...perhaps into early Wednesday morning. Definitely another box of wintry chocolates coming our way...make that hot chocolate!
