Answered Prayers! Ill admit it, Im not beneath whining and just about to begging, but if that it what it takes! A very very generous non-profit organization that Im not sure if Im allowed to name yet, Ill ask later has very very generously donated $400 to fill those blankets on that table!! Wow, to say I was floored is to say my poor hubby had to help me up! That might fill all those blankets, it will mail them, Im sure I have enough pellets to make up the difference, but....... That means 17 on a list will get their blankets, there are more and its not fair to quit on them! I know this isnt your cause, your passion, but do you have any idea how many hours of sewing will go into these blankets? I do it because it is something I believe in, I know the difference these blankets make, I know what it is like for the whole family when that one child finally sleeps! I know what its like to find out how much that much needed help can cost! More then anything else Ive been that parent with the child who wouldnt sleep and couldnt afford that blanket, wishing desperately that someone, anyone would help. Im no one special, Im you! The difference, I can sew and I made up my mind to make a difference and yes, even one person can make a difference! So if one person can change the world of a special needs child, what can two people do? Three? Four? Ten? Twenty? What can you do? So you received a free blanket already, couldnt afford $70 plus, but you have $5 extra this month, donate and help someone else out! No amount is too small! Have a yard sale or a bake sale, anything. If we all wait on someone else, nothing gets done! There is a stipulation on free blankets, pictures! I make no money on this, my payment is seeing the faces of your smiling children and letters I get from the parents, they last longer then money anyway! It amazes me when someone sends $20 and apologizes that its so small, small adds up, small covers shipping, (shipping usually comes out of my pocket and kills me!) I sew for children, nothing is small!
