Anthony called in today to talk T-shirts! The man never rests! Well put sizes aside for those of you who have made specific requests and therell be a run available later this week that will be on sale from various retailers along Darling Street, including Darling Street Meats, the IGA and other key points down to Tali G which well advise when available. $20 cash payment for each t-shirt will be kept aside to pass on to Anthony to cover the expenses of a reprint and the full balance will go to the Rozelle Fire Appeal at Bendigo Bank. Our understanding is that the funds will be dispersed to the victims directly affected - families of Bianka, Jude and Chris, the people who escaped but are homeless, and businesses who have lost their premises and need help to re-establish to regain their livelihoods including James, and those who need support because they have been unable to trade, and then the area will be revitalised as a whole. Rest assured it will be done judiciously and carefully. We need everyone to understand that so very many have been affected to varying extents - and our retail strip including the other side of Vic Road and even Balmain has been impacted, and that the wellbeing of our community hinges on everyone being looked after and able to put food on the table! In the meantime, heres a message from Anthony about the first run of T-Shirts which virtually sold out during the concert: A huge Thank you to all the beautiful people that turned up at the concert and made it so special for so many! Your heartfelt care and generosity contributed $8942.04 to the Fire Appeal, and thats just from the T-Shirts and Caps we sold. A Special thanks needs to go the follow community members and a couple of companies that made it possible. *Jen Sheahan for the Fantastic Design of the Shirts *Epic Promotional Products for sourcing and financing the initial run *Dynamic Screen Printing for an amazing print job and an unbelievable price *Helen Clarke for the Caps *Gildan for donating 288 of the 500 T-Shirts *Charlotte Ritchie and her son James for help selling the T-Shirts *Bee White for help selling the T-Shirts *Kate Young from IGA for help selling the T-Shirts *Lucy Carroll (my beautiful daughter) for help selling the T-Shirts Not only does Rozelle Rock but so do you guys and everyone that was there today.
