Anti-Israel activists who claim that Israel was established as a imperialist, colonialist venture by the British after WW2 must answer this question. If Israel is such, then why did the British put European Jews back into concentration camps and made every effort to stop the Jews from returning to their homeland at the request of Arab leaders? Jordan was created by the British as the Palestinian Arab homeland. Then, Churchill gave Jordan to the deposed royalty of the former Kingdom of Mecca in violation of international law. It seems to me that that would make Jordan the colonialist venture created by the imperialist British.
