Antioquia is the fifth worlds most dangerous place for journalists. This is called the Annual Report Balance of Violence Against Journalists 2014 by Reporters Without Borders (RSF). In the department of Antioquia (northwestern Colombia), they report is a work of high risk, especially if issues such as corruption and organized crime are investigated, they said in the report. According to the provisions of the RSF, the criminal and paramilitary gangs terrorize, sometimes in collusion with the local authorities. These groups do not hesitate to disseminate blacklists in which the names of journalists appear to murder. The RSF recalled that on August 12 last killed journalist Luis Carlos, after two weeks before he removed the security scheme which had for several years.
