Antique Appraisal Show at Senior Center for Salemfest, Saturday, September 20 It’s part adventure, part history lesson, and a whole lot of fun! SALEM – Curious about some of Grandma’s antiques or the value of your own family heirlooms? Salem Senior Services will host an Antique Appraisal Show from 9 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, at the Ingram Senior Center in Salem, NH. It’s part adventure, part history lesson, and a whole lot of fun. The Salemfest Antique Appraisal Show will feature instant, on site appraisals by Appraiser Hercules Pappochristos for antique or collectible items such as furniture, art, home decorative items, china, rugs, prints, etc.. Herc’s professional objectivity provides you with an Antique RoadshowTM -like experience. The public is invited to bring items and will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Suggested minimum donation is $5 per item, limit three items, unless more time becomes available. All proceeds benefit the Salem Council on Aging. First New England Coin and Gold will appraise, as well as possibly pay cash for jewelry, gold, silver, coin or stamp collections, etc.. There is no charge for these appraisals. If items are purchased by First NE Coin and Gold, they will donate an additional matching 10% of the sale to the Salem Council on Aging. Whether you just come to watch and listen or have items appraised, you’ll enjoy this entertaining and interactive format. This Salemfest event will also include other fun activities such as a display of Antique cars, finding bargains at the Off Broadway Boutique and Thrift shop, and guided tours of the Center with an overview of the wide array of senior programming offered.
