Antique’s Pantawid Pamilya Exemplary kid dreams to be an Architect By: Pilar S. Mabaquiao SAN JOSE, Antique, Sept. 22 (PIA6) - - When he showed up on stage, the people applauded, just as they did with nine other children-contestants but no one thought he will bring home the title ‘Pantawid Pamilya Exemplary Child 2014. During his introduction he said “I am Mark Lovel S. Bedona, 10 years old, Grade 4 of Lacayon Elementary School representing the town of Bugasong, I might be small, but I dream big and I want to be an Architect” The crowd applauded much more when he said, my motto is ‘Black is beautiful. That’s why I admired these great people LeBron James, Floyd Mayweather and President Barrack Obama. The judges admired him more when he showed his painting skills during the talent competition. Bedona indeed got what he wished for as he was declared winner during the Provincial Search for Pantawid Pamilya Exemplary Children held at St. Anthony’s College on Friday. Other winners are First Runner Up -Justine A. Varona of Tibiao and 2nd Runner Up Benjamine Lomibao of Barbaza also declared Best in Talent. Best in interview and Best in Production Number was given to Christine Ann M. Odango of Sibalom. Other children who also showed their best during the pageant are Ramona Jemmima Collinco and her twin sister Blasius Cecelia Colinco of Sebaste, Jayland Y. Delfino of Laua-an. Jian Christian Bretana of Patnongon, Hilrose B. Saracanlao of Pandan and Clyra Romay of Culasi. Also present during the event are PSSupt Edgardo O. Ordaniel, SP Member Edgar Denosta, PIA Manager Margie L. Gadian who also served as one of the judges. Jeffrey Gabucay, Provincial Coordinator of Pantawid Pamilya said the winner in this provincial search will represent the province to the regional level and onward to the national competition. This year’s theme of the search is ‘Kaya ko ang Pagbabago. (JSC/MLG/PSM-PIA6 Antique)
