Anton Evangelista, a colleague of mine, and a producer & Director Is casting for a male actor asap for a very small shoot this Wednesday, Jan. 7th. He is Seeking an actor to portray a deputy sheriff, a la Missisippi Burning. The actor will play a deputy sheriff in a flashback sequence of a film entitled AUTHOR & ACTIVIST: THE DANIELA GIOSEFFI STORY Filming is this Wednesday, January 7th: looking for an actor 30s-40s, clean-cut, since it takes place in 1961. In the film, Daniela describes through her voiceover her experience of when she went down to Selma, Alabama in 1961, where she was a television journalist announcing freedom rides to integrate voting. She was arrested by a deputy sheriff, who we learn is also in the Klu Klux Klan. The deputy sheriiff is 30s to 40s, should have a menacing look, redneck type. If hes overweight, that helps too, since thats what Daniela described him as being. What we will be filming is not so much a re-anactment, but more of a flashback. A series a hand-held shots, mostly closeups, illustrating a range of emotions; terror, anguish, despair, control, fear, etc. No nudity, nothing graphic, but more of expressions of you the actors which will be seen in chiaro-scuro (black and white images). There is no dialogue, no rehearsal and Im not asking for a big commitment of your time. The shoot will be from 10am - 2:30pm (we have to be out of there by 2:30) in a NYC Public library in the Bronx in a private room for our use. There is no pay. But credit, and copy of the scene will be provided for your use when the film is completed.
