Antonio Carlos Jobims Chega De Saudade (No More Blues): Mentally challenging, good as anti-Dementia exercise. I spent many hours mastering this song during the weekend. Its a beautiful song, but so complex. Little variations in the notes of each part here and there, differences in phrasing, modulating from one tonal center to another, changing from minor to major key. If you follow the original note for note, it challenges your memory (I am playing by hearing not reading). Many years ago, I heard our great Louis Soliano sing it while drumming and marveled at it. Here is a terrific version by jazz guitarist Graham Dechter with fantastic improvisation.
